We are a non profit domestic adoption agency that currently serves and supports families in the capital district of New York.  Currently we are not taking any new families in Massachusetts. Our offices are located in Albany, NY and Worcester, MA. The amazing families that we serve will adopt the nation's waiting foster children. We are all about finding forever families for these children, one child at a time!

Our Mission

To inform, recruit, train and support American families who will adopt our nation's hard to place waiting foster children. In addition, we focus on helping older teen foster children find families to create a stable permanent relationship with that hopefully results in an adoption.

What We Do

We inform American families of the 500,000 waiting children in foster care and the shortage of trained families willing to adopt them.

By fundraising and creating contracts with state agencies, we make sure finances do not become a barrier to adoption. Our costs to our families are minimal. Only $125 per person!

We specialize in only US foster care and recruiting families who are looking to adopt these children.

We train and home study families according to the rules of the states in which they reside and run training classes 4 times a year.

We search nationwide without limitation for foster children that would create a good match with our family. Some agencies will only search within your home state.

We support the family through the entire adoption process, from training to post-finalization. Our goal is to make the adoption experience a successful one for both the child and the family.

The same trained social worker that is assigned to your family will work with you one on one during the entire process. This allows a strong relationship to build. Each worker's case load is small enough to give our families the personalized attention they need.

We provide a monthly adoption support group.

Our trained specialists are available around the clock should an emergency arise.

We have a life long commitment to our adoptive families and if need be, we remain available to support our families indefinitely.

We perform child specific recruitment for hard to place older children. Our goal here is to find a family or individual to create a stable permanent relationship with these children hopefully resulting in an adoption.

The Starfish Story

While walking along a beach, an elderly gentleman saw someone in the distance leaning down, picking something up and throwing it back into the ocean. As he got closer, he noticed that the figure was that of a young man, picking up starfish one by one and tossing each one gently back into the water. The old man smiled, and said, "I must ask, then, why are you throwing starfish into the ocean?" To this, the young man replied, "The sun is up and the tide is going out. If I don't throw them in, they'll die." Upon hearing this, the elderly observer commented, "But young man, do you not realize that there are miles and miles of beach and there are starfish all along every mile? You can't possibly make a difference!"

The young man listened politely. Then he bent down, picked up another starfish, threw it back into the ocean past the breaking waves and said, "I made a difference for that one."
